Inspired by the 1950’s, Assioma D is a new line of watches created for refined, elegant women. The successful introduction of Assioma at Basel in 2005 marked the auspicious birth of this new, exclusive line, conceived specifically for demanding women with strong characters.

The word “diva” has classical origins and derives from the Latin word “dea.” In mythology this word indicated a female god in the guise of an alluring woman with regal bearing, and elegant, refined manners who aroused the deep admiration of those casting eyes on her.

Female movie stars started to become labeled as “divas” in the 1920’s.

The splendid Ava Gardner and the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn were among the numerous divas participating in Rome’s Dolce Vita who loved and wore Bulgari creations, becoming a part of this jeweler’s history. Bewitching beauties and irresistible seductresses, they perfectly embodied the ideal of what made a diva. Blessed with fresh spontaneity, these unique women became icons of unfading style.

Assioma D evokes the splendor of diamonds, the synonym of purity, always loved by women and now the absolute leaders of this collection. The precious versions set with diamonds perfectly interpret the uniqueness and exclusivity of those who have the privilege of wearing them. Diamonds and movie divas are the eternal echo of a magical, unrepeatable myth.

The Bulgari designer team devoted special attention to study and development of the Assioma D watch case. The basic components of the case and the two bridges were separated, thereby preserving the two distinctive characteristics of Assioma, the perfect combination of a square and circle.

The curved case, styled with distinctively feminine lines, revisits a successful model so as to render it particularly elegant and precious. The dial comes in different versions: émaillé white with relief decoration in the yellow and white gold versions, and black in the rose gold versions.

The bracelet, which is a natural continuation of the watch case, is polished to a satiny luster in the yellow, rose, and white gold versions. The care dedicated to each and every detail is also evident in the rose cut diamond set in the crown, which represents yet another distinctive element of this original timepiece.

The Assioma D line comes in 18 different models in yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold versions that are embellished with diamond pavé.

Three unique pieces in baguette-cut diamonds, sapphires, and rubies complete the collection in an excellent interpretation of refined femininity. The Assioma D collection was entirely developed and produced at the Bulgari Time ateliers in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. The new watch is equipped with a quartz movement, caliber B033, Bulgari customized and it is water resistant up to a depth of 30 meters. The Assioma D will go on sale at all Bulgari stores and selected dealers starting in May 2007.
