As a designer/seamstress for more then 30 years now, I have created, designed, and sewn many Items, but my love for scarves grew into a real passion. I discovered that wearing a scarf not only adds dimension to what you are wearing, but it also redefines and compliments your wardrobe! I started making my own scarves, I received so many compliments that I decided to make scarves and hold scarf shows, teaching other women how to wear them. However, I found the traditional square scarf to not only very limited in ways to wear, but I also found it too complicated and time consuming in folding and tying. If you weren’t going to just fold it in a triangle and hang it around your neck, it took too long trying to figure out how to wear it, or how to tie it, or drape it, by that time you`re ready to throw it back in the drawer and forget it. So I began to listen and compiled the complaints of women, who love wearing scarves, and had a drawer full of them, but didn`t know what to do with them.
Here are some of their complaints:
(1) I love scarves but don`t know how to wear them.
(2) They`re too much fuss.
(3) They`re too bulky around my neck.
(4) I just don`t know how to tie them.
(5) I love them, but they just get in my way.
(6) It takes too much time trying to figure out what to do with it.
I heard these complaints over and over; after all I had some of the same complaints. Then over a period of time styles changed, and women hardly wore scarves anymore. I also realized teens and young women didn’t wear them at all. All of this inspired me to design a new scarf! The traditional square scarf has been around for as long as we can remember; I felt we needed a change, an update to the square scarf. We needed something new and exciting, with endless versatility, simple and easy to wear, and would appeal to teens and young women as well as the older mature women. Also, it had to be a design that would forever compliment the changing fashion trends. I came up with a design that not only solved the problems, but offered so much more! I was granted a patent on my new NO-FUSS® ORIGINAL SCARF design, and now it was time to test it out on a larger audience, so I did. I continued holding scarf shows, demonstrating the difference between the traditional square scarf and my new design. As I introduced and demonstrated my new NO-FUSS® ORIGINAL SCARF, the response was overwhelming! They just could not believe that one scarf could be so versatile, yet so easy to wear! The excitement was electrifying to say the least! It is hard for women to wrap their minds around how one scarf can simply be worn, as different Halter looks, Wrap dress, Skirt, Vest, Shrug, Swimsuit cover, Sarong, as well as many different Wrap styles. Since then I have been granted a patent on my second Scarf design: The NO-FUSS® BELL SCARF. I absolutely LOVE what I do: designing “products encouraging women to look and feel good”
